What Is a forum based Roll playing Game?
A forum based roll playing game is a game which imagination and literacy is pretty much all you need. basically instead of physically playing the characters, you type out what they say, feel, hear, see etc like a story (or biography if your feeling adventurous)
Another way to describe it is that you are a scriptwriter for your character, and you are writing one part of a movie, but you can only write your own character's part.
Okay I Have Joined... Now What?
Okay now that you have joined Heartland, you need a character. To make a character simply click the category you wish to create and copy and fill out the form onto a new post (Which is located in the header (coloured bar on the right) then click post. easy as.
if character is an original it must be accepted by a staff member but customs you can go nuts.
what do i do now that i have created my character(s) and they are all ready to go
well this is where your characters' lives begin. if you want a house or to lodge with another character, type up what you want in the real estate, if you want your own house for your characters then give me details so i can write them down in the board description. when you have done that you dont need to wait for the house to be made to start playing (or unless you want to start your post in your home) click on any place in the site to start playing, just simply click 'new post' and start your character's story
I've seen a forum very similar like this somewhere else, why?
I admit it, I took the idea, along with the vast majority of everything related to this forum from somebody else. The only reason this forum is up is because that somebody else let hers die by not being actively involved with the forum.
